Many readers will recall the Championship final second leg between Worcester and Bristol broadcast live on Sky Sports where Chris Pennell’s try set the stage for former England international Ryan Lamb’s last gasp conversion to deny Bristol promotion and send Worcester straight back into the top flight.
That is the kind of drama and jeopardy the Champ needs and hopefully this season is where this all comes back into place.
