SO the tour is over, and the Lions return home happy at a result that perhaps they didn’t really deserve, winning two of the three Tests – particularly as, yet again, match officials failed to punish the Lions for on field law breaking.
Leinster hooker Dan Sheehan’s clear-out at a ruck made contact with fly-half Tom Lynagh’s head in the first half of the game last Saturday forcing Lynagh to leave the match after failing a head injury assessment.
